Three generations of pool building excellence
Designer Pools by Garry Bair, LLC is a family-owned swimming pool construction company with deep roots in the craft. Our story began long before our name—back in the 1970s, when Floyd Bair helped introduce shotcrete techniques to Kansas City and taught the trade to his son, Garry.
After years of hands-on work as a subcontractor and innovator (including designing the Minitower MT-20 manhole sprayer), Garry founded Designer Pools in 2004 with a simple goal: build pools the right way, with pride in the details.
Following Garry's unexpected passing in December 2023, Derek Bair—his son and a third-generation pool builder—became managing partner in January 2024. Derek brings 20 years of experience in the pool industry and learned directly from Garry, who passed down everything he knew along with his guiding mantra: "hard work, honesty, and integrity."
